Damien graduated from University College Dublin (UCD) in 2011 with a master’s degree in Structural Engineering with Architecture. He joined Waterman Moylan in the same year, having previously completed an industry placement with us as part of his degree studies at UCD.
Damien is a Chartered Engineer with experience in a variety of sectors across Ireland and the UK, including residential, retail, commercial, hotel and mixed-use developments. With expertise in the application of finite element analysis and design software, combined with harnessing Revit 3-D modelling systems to analyse and design complex structures, Damien is fully at ease working to various collaborative BIM standards. He was responsible for the modelling and design of key concrete elements for one of the tallest precast concrete buildings in Europe, the Two Fifty-One residential tower in London.
Damien leads one of our Structural Engineering teams and has been responsible for delivering a number of prestigious developments throughout Ireland, including a number of technology and office buildings, hotels and apartment developments.
Damien is passionate about the training and development of student and graduate engineers to maximise their potential as engineers for the future. He utilises his own student placement experience with Waterman Moylan and combines this with his professional expertise to guide the training needs of the next generation of engineers.
