The Seven Mills development is a landmark new town located beside the Grand Canal, between Clondalkin and Lucan in Dublin 22. Once complete, the scheme will deliver 5,500 homes for a population of approximately 15,000 residents.

Designed with community at its core, Seven Mills offers everything from schools and parks to shops, restaurants, and excellent transport connections.

Recognised by the Irish Government as an area of strategic national importance, Seven Mills forms the pivotal development within the Clonburris Development Zone Planning Scheme.

Parkleigh is the first phase of the scheme, located within the Clonburris Southwest Development area, it consists of 569 dwellings, which include 173 houses, 148 duplex units and 246 apartments. The apartments are arranged across three blocks: Block 1 with approximately 172 apartments, Block 2 with 38 apartments across four storeys, and Block 3 with 36 apartments across four storeys. This stage also delivered a crèche, an innovation hub, and green open spaces.

Cairn Homes appointed C+W O’Brien Architects for this phase of the development and their design seamlessly integrates residential, commercial, and communal spaces, ensuring community engagement is promoted through development.

Our team provided mechanical, electrical, and sustainability engineering services for the Parkleigh phase of Seven Mills, designing the dwellings to meet the nZEB standard and to meet Cairn Homes bespoke requirements for internal finishes and equipment specifications. We’re currently engaged on subsequent stages of this transformative development, continuing to deliver engineering solutions that enable sustainable growth in the Clonburris area.
