Waterman are delighted that Capital Dock took home ‘Housing Project of the Year’ at the Irish Building Design Awards (IBDA) on 29 November.
Held at the Clayton Hotel on Burlington Road, Dublin, the IBDA were hosted by CMG Events as the biggest annual ceremony in the industry as they celebrated the leading professionals in architecture, engineering, construction and design.
Capital Dock is a prime 4.8 acre-waterfront scheme in Dublin’s central business district, comprising 60,000 m2 mixed-use contemporary office, residential and retail development. The prestigious scheme delivers 190 high-quality residential units set across three buildings, one of which is 23 storeys and the tallest in Dublin. Across three buildings, 35,000 m2 of office space provides a variety of work place settings and roof terraces. Our team in Dublin were appointed by Kennedy Wilson to provide civil and structural engineering services and construction-related health and safety advisory services on the project.
Another Waterman project, Block I at Central Park in Dublin, was also shortlisted for ‘Commercial / Office Building Project of the Year’ within the IBDA. Alongside the adjacent Block H, Block I is the second new office building our team in Dublin were appointed on as part of the prestigious Central Park Campus expansion. We provided civil, structural and transportation engineering design services for this 7,600 m2 Grade A commercial facilities over seven floors, including an additional 159 car parking spaces across two basement levels.
