Cookstown Gateway

The Land Development Agency’s (LDA’s) Dublin Cookstown Gateway development offers 204 studio, one bed and two bed apartments as their first offering under the Project Tosaigh Initiative. This innovative scheme is creating the opportunity for individuals to acquire a new A–rated home at 25 % less than comparable market rates under the Government’s STAR (Secure Tenancy Affordable Rental) investment project. LDA facilitated the completion of the project, making the new homes available either to renters on a cost rental basis or to buyers at an affordable price under the Affordable Housing Act 2021.

This key development at the western ‘gateway’ of the Tallaght Town Centre sits close to Corkagh Park, which offers 120 hectares of nature walks, a fishing pond and a caravan park. Residents will also benefit from proximity to the new Square, which is home to a wide range of amenities, including retail units, restaurants, a cinema and a bowling alley, creating a bustling location. Sports and education facilities are also in ready supply, with gyms, golf courses, football clubs and schools all located close by.

Cookstown Gateway overlooks the Cookstown Luas stop and is within walking distance of Tallaght University Hospital and The Square Shopping Centre. With easy access to Dublin available by bus as well as the LUAS tram, the new neighbourhood is also well-placed for access to the M50 motorway, making it the ideal location for commuters.

Our team in Dublin delivered civil and structural engineering for the scheme, seeing us work closely with the wider project team.
