A new social housing development is being delivered at St. Ronan’s Crescent, Dublin 22, to provide safe, comfortable, and age-friendly homes designed to support independent living for people in later life.

The scheme reflects South Dublin County Council’s commitment to sustainable, lifetime homes allowing residents to remain close to their community.

This project will deliver 9 thoughtfully designed dwellings, arranged around a central landscaped courtyard, with the addition of a welcoming community room to encourage social connection. All homes will achieve a minimum A2 BER rating, ensuring energy efficiency alongside warmth, comfort, and security.

The housing mix includes 5 one-bedroom houses, 2 two-bedroom ground floor apartments, and 2 two-bedroom first floor apartments. The homes combine single-storey terraced units with two-storey end units, designed to create a sense of belonging and ease of living for residents.

The works also include a new home-zone access from St. Ronan’s Crescent, high-quality landscaping to enhance boundaries and communal spaces, and all necessary supporting works on-site and in surrounding areas.

South Dublin County Council is leading the project, with Waterman Moylan providing civil, structural, and building engineering services. Cunningham Contracts have recently commenced construction, marking the beginning of an exciting development that will benefit the wider community.
