About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an open and collaborative person to play an important role in the team. You’ll provide essential support to our busy development engineering team on traffic-related matters and transport design. The role includes assessing various development projects ranging from medium and large-scale residential and mixed-use developments to urban renewal, business and industrial parks, schools, offices, retail development, and infrastructure schemes in both urban and rural settings.

Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks, including traffic and parking survey data analysis, traffic modelling, public transport capacity assessment, drafting Traffic Impact Assessment reports and Travel Plans, and providing support to our road design teams as necessary to optimise junction and parking designs.

You’ll have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and you will preparate technical reports to a high standard. You will have a Level 8 qualification in Civil or Transportation Engineering or a related discipline from a recognised third level institution alongside a minimum of one year’s experience in the field of traffic and transportation consultancy. You will also have experience in traffic modelling, ideally with industry standard software such as LinSig, TRANSYST, Arcady, Picady and Oscady.

Reporting directly to a Senior Traffic and Transportation Engineer, this role offers an invaluable opportunity to learn and grow under the guidance of experienced mentors and professionals.
