We face ever changing challenges and increasing complexity in the real estate sector, but Waterman has consistently helped us innovate and stay ahead of the curve with lateral thinking and engineering approaches that have product, customer and commercial focus

LA Fitness

The project involved the construction of a new fitness club within the envelope of an existing derelict squash court building at LA Fitness in Dartry, Dublin.

Waterman Moylan was appointed to meet LA Fitness’ standardised club layout, including a new swimming pool. This was designed to suit the existing building with minimum internal structural alterations and no alterations to the building’s elevations. The scheme was delivered within a very tight 24-week programme.

A new 1.2m deep swimming pool was constructed from reinforced concrete with additional floor space provided at first floor. This was achieved by infilling the existing squash courts using profiled metal floor decking with structural concrete topping supported on new steel beams and columns and existing walls.
